This illness is dragging too long for my patience.. It’s going to be almost 4 weeks!
I feel terrible, as if someone is holding a spade and digging out my stomach. I am not very able to concentrate on my work and anything else. I am frequently pressing lightly onto my stomach so that the warmth from my hand may provide some temporary relief to the gnawing pain.
And I am scared. I have been prescribed some stronger medication and hopefully I will recover. My doctor seems pretty scared too. Haha. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying that I will be healed soon. If not, I have to go for an endoscope. Something like a long thin hose that will be inserted through my throat into my stomach so that the doctor can see what’s going on. That sounds very scary. And I do not want to go for that nor a barium test either. So, God, please heal me!
The most horrible thing is I cannot eat well. I have to keep to bland soups and plain biscuits. No milk, no spicy food, no fried food, no soft drinks, no chocolates, no this no that. Erm, where’s the variety in life if you cant taste all types of food? I can tolerate short term abstinence but this is a dreary drag.
God, please heal me. I am pleading already.
Sigh, the scariest thing is if my gastritis does not heal, it may be an underlying cause of gastric ulcer. That’s the ultimate. Thinking of all these and cringing each time the pain spasms come is making me want to cry.
God, please heal me. NOW?

Gastric flu go away!
I don’t seem to have recovered from my gastric flu or stomach flu since approximately 3 weeks ago! That’s scary. I keep getting gastric and nausea intermittently.
Just when I thought I had recovered, my stomach feels queasy and nausea sets in. As such, sour plum has been my constant food of revival for the past 3 weeks. Mind you, I cannot be pregnant.
Right now eating normal food makes me feel uncomfortable and want to puke, so I have to take clear, bland stuff. I shall try to cut out diary products and caffeine to see if it makes my stomach better.
What’s wrong with me??
When will the gastroenteritis go away??
Gastroenteritis is bad news to a foodie or glutton like me. I like eating good food and trying out new stuff but now I have to restrain myself. It’s been 3 bloody long weeks. Guess what I had for breakfast today? Oats. Lunch? Soda crackers and Milo. Dinner? Maybe I should drink only Milo or eat plain porridge. Sigh. Soda crackers never tasted so nice and satisfying before.
Last but not least, I cannot concentrate on anything at work. I keep wanting to lie down. Think I will re-visit the doctor tonight – I have seen him2x already but there isn’t anything much he can do since this illness is caused by a virus, all he can do is to prescribe medicine to relieve the symptoms.
Hope my employer doesn’t think I am taking too much sick leave. I really am sick!

Gastric flu bug
I am down with gastric flu and I hate it. It's a horrid feeling. Flu is bad enough but to have a virus in your stomach, that's worse.
How has the virus affected me?
I look even more blurred than I normally am, the words on the computer screen are fuzzy, the gastric juices in my stomach are twirling around loudly, the nausea feeling is ever so present and potent, body aches like mad and I feel hot and cold at the same time!
Yawnz. Time to rest.
