Shopping addiction

For the month of May, I had actually made a mental promise to myself to curb my shopping but I think I have kind of failed. The perils of working in the CBD area! Sigh.

My focus was on clothes, which I have bought quite a lot. Interestingly, International Plaza (IP) has quite a few unique shops and I have fallen in love with lace tops and Victorian styles. The best thing is these items in IP are much more affordable than mainstream clothing retailers such as Topshop or Mango. Though the material quality may differ, as long as you choose discreetly, you can get good quality at cheap prices!

Sadly, I broke my promise. Here are the stuff I bought, for a steal though!

Accessories
The brooches cost 2 for $10 while the crystal necklace and purple bracelet cost $10 each. Not so worth it for the purple bracelet but I really liked it as it will definitely add a touch of class to an outfit.

Shoes
I bought 3 pairs at one go! Quite on impulse but I really liked the shoes and there was a promotion going on at Giovanna – the second pair has 30% discount, which adds up to quite abit. Anyway the total bill of the 3 pairs of shoes cost me only $60.

Victorian spaghetti top
Saw this at Tanjong Pagar Plaza, one of those HDB shops but this shop had pretty unique stuff. This cost me only $20 which could retail at Isetan or whatever at at least $39.90!

Bottom: Ali baba pants
Got this at IP for only $10. Another shop was selling for $25 normal price and sale price at $15. Haha.

All in all, my expenditure this month till date is approximately $120 – a far cry from some months which I can spend up to $300 on average, especially if there’s an Isetan private sale.

Curb expenditure.
