Encounter with a mad man

I had a very bad morning today. No wonder my left eyelid twitched at breakfast time. It was a horrific scary indignant experience. I was quite shaken at the end of it!

This is what happened…
I was waiting for the lift at IP and an empty one came and there was no one around, so I went inside and of cos pressed the CLOSE button so it would close faster and I can go up quickly. I just concentrated on pressing CLOSE as the door did not respond but finally it did. However, in the midst of it, I heard a guy shouting but I could not make out what he was shouting. Plus I was standing beside the lift buttons and on the right and I could not see anyone coming from the right, only the left. So the door closed, finally but I heard some pounding and kicking of the lift door. Suddenly the lift door opened and this man came charging in and accused me of not holding open the door for him. I retorted back that I couldn’t see anyone from my angle and he told me in a scathing way to forget it and asked me to stop talking! I was pissed and scared of this mad man who had kicked and hit the lift door furiously just now. I thought of what he could do to me as I was alone in the lift with him only. Even though there is a camera in the lift but if anything happens it would be too late. I quickly press the OPEN button and walked out but not without scolding him; “Mad man!”

This guy was really mad. Who in the right mind would pound the door so furiously??? I was very shaken and felt like crying and I just felt very harassed. I think I shall complain to the security management in writing. Even if it does not help I do not care, at least I brought to their attention. They can keep a lookout for him and review the camera.

Harassed… Harassed…

Breathe easy, breathe easy, breathe easy.

Should I take the stairs now instead????

Someone said I should have held the door open and pop my head outside to see what’s happening. Point is I cannot even hear what he’s shouting. Point is I am rushing to work, I am NOT watching a "show". Point is, it's none of my business to be check out what's the commotion about.

Another said I should have just shown him my third finger.

Another one only managed an anticlimax comment "I see, I see".

People! Be more sympathetic, can??!
